For the past few months we’ve had the pleasure of working with the University of Westminster on the development of their ‘Virtual Research Environment.’ The project was presented at the UKSG conference in Harrogate, April 2014.

Suzanne Enright, Director of Information Services at the University of Westminster presented the project with Ken Chad of Ken Chad Consulting.

Our work with the University of Westminster began by looking at the needs of researchers in managing research data. We quickly discovered there was a more fundamental requirement to first develop good records of research projects across the University which could then be used for any purpose.

The flexibility of the Haplo platform proved to be an excellent basis for the resulting ‘Virtual Research Environment.’
